MBH 153: XRD (MBH Scientific Instruments and Facilities: Scientific Instruments & Facilities) Capacity: 1

The XRD instrumentation is located in MBH 153, in the north wing of the 1st floor of McCardell Bicentennial Hall.

Instrument operation and use hours are MBH building hours.  Work at all other times must be explicitly authorized.

Training requirements before booking and use include:

• MBH Hazard Awareness Training (contact Cathy Ekstrom at cekstrom@middlebury.edu with questions);
• MBH Sciences Radiation Safety Awareness Training
• Instrument safety and operations training (contact Kevin Booth at kbooth@middlebury.edu to schedule).

Middlebury students, faculty, and staff are eligible to book and use this instrument, provided the prospective user has the proper safety and operations training.  If you have not completed the required safety trainings prior to scheduling, your request will be denied.
